Free Travel on Mountain Rail & Cableways and lots more!

Davos guarantees diversity - free of charge! The new Davos Inclusive Card entitles you in summer to free travel on mountain rail & cableways. And that's not all: a wide range of services and leisure attractions are also available free of charge.

"Davos Inclusive" applies exclusively to guests staying at least one night in commercially rented accommodation (hotel, holiday apartment, group accommodation).

 

Afternoon walks (Wednesday 27th)
Station Monstein to Wiesen / back by train

You are most welcome to join the guided afternoon walk from Monstein station to Wiesen station (approx. 1 ½ hours, comfortable shoes!) and visit the famous “Wiesen Viadukt”. The event is free of charge (don’t forget to bring your guest card from the hotel for the train). The hike is easy and accessible to everyone. More details regarding meeting point, timetable etc. will follow on site.

 

 

Hike to Stafelalp
By bus, we will reach Davos Frauenkirch. From there, we will hike up Stafelalp (with a 500 mt ascent), to proceed in the direction of Davos going thought Erbalp and Grüeni Alp (approx. 2 ½ hours). The event is free of charge (don’t forget to bring your guest card from the hotel for the bus). The hike is indicated as middle-level difficulty. More details regarding meeting point, timetable etc. will follow on site.

Conference Dinner Thursday evening (optional)

The conference dinner will be at Restaurant Ischalp at 1931 M above sea level on Jakobshorn mountain on the Tuesday, June 26, 2018. Meeting place will be at Talstation Jakobshorn at 18.00h, from where we will take a cable car to the mountain restaurant. Conference dinner tickets will be required to attend the dinner (CHF100.00).


Conference dinner tickets will be required to attend the dinner. Book early! Dress Code- very casual- as you like.

Please be aware: the dinner is at the top of a mountain with beautiful views over the valley. This means there will be cable cars to take participants to the top and these will run for a limited time. If you are late, the only option is to walk all the way up. So please do not be late as we would love to see you there!


Vegetarians, should inform the conference secretariat during registration, for a vegetarian ticket.

Jakobshorn

For the conference dinner we aim high 1913 meters above sea level.

The restaurant Jschalp is situated just above tree level with a beautiful view of Davos and the surrounding mountains.

At the restaurant we will enjoy a reception on the terrace and a barbeque dinner.
